Yes. Polyester is made of two materials; EG (ethylene glycol) and PTA (terephthalic acid). We have been producing/licensing EG from waste carbon (CO) via HighChem SEG® technology since 2010 which can be used for CO2. For PTA, we are developing CO2-PTA technologies (funded by Japanese government), and should be available in near future.

C1 chemical is an organic chemistry which compounds chemical products from one carbon atom (i.e. CO2, CO). This is an essential technology to reduce carbon footprint. This technology is now being applied to polyester material production from waste carbon instead of fossil fuel.
